This page explains how BillGuard processes personal data. We apply data minimization and collect only what is needed to provide the service.
Account details, bill photos and extracted fields, purchase and subscription status, push notification device tokens, language and app version, and minimal security and diagnostic logs.
Authentication, bill analysis, purchase and subscription management, reminders, push notifications, and security monitoring. To perform bill analysis, bill content is sent to necessary cloud storage, AI infrastructure, and model providers. We do not sell bill data or use it to track you across apps or websites.
Apple processes purchases made in the iOS app, while the payment provider shown at checkout processes website purchases. BillGuard does not store full card numbers. We retain transaction, customer, credit, and subscription identifiers to credit purchases, restore access, handle refunds, and prevent duplicate entries.
Account data, structured bill fields, and subscription records are stored in access-controlled databases; uploaded bill files are kept in non-public object storage. We use HTTPS/TLS in transit, user-scoped database and file access, and short-lived signed links for authorized processing. Only authorized personnel and service providers needed to operate the service may access data within their responsibilities. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no Internet storage or transmission method is completely secure.
You can update profile data or request data export/deletion. Some transaction records may be retained to meet legal obligations.
